<text>The London Colour Walk is a gathering of colourful people (clothes, hair, accessories) who meet once a month in Old Spitalfields Market in London. Like many other photographers I had been joining them every month for almost a year and began to wonder how they ended up doing this. What were their backgrounds? Art? Fashion? Finance? The results were fascinating. The book took six months to compile, involving 54 photoshoots and 54 stories to edit. Their words tell a lot, and hopefully the photos reveal even more about these wonderful characters. The book also includes 8 pages of Moments from the various Colour Walks. And just to note, they don't actually walk anywhere. It's just an afternoon of like minded people enjoying each others' outfits and conversation.</text>

<text>A book showing over 200 found Photo-Me booth photographs collected and curated by graphic designer/author Sue Smallwood.

The earliest photos were found during the early 1980s, with the main set coming from a single booth in London's Kings Cross station, 1987-9. The photos are arranged with great deliberation; the pairings resulting in combinations poignant and amusing - and occasionally disturbing.
Each book in this edition comes in a hand-screen printed bag, with a bookmark and a CD of previously unreleased song 'Photo Me’ by indie pop band The Trudy (of which Sue was an original member 1979-early 80s).</text>

<text>Portrait A Day is a project by photographer Rory Langdon-Down, who set out in 2021 to document a year like no other by focussing on honesty, positivity and authentic connection.

These 365 portraits, and the dialogue that surrounds them, reveal the story of this unique year. One that comprised of lockdowns, vaccinations, freedoms returning, delayed events, love, loss and all the many stories that make us human.

This coffee table book features all 365 portraits from the project and over 40,000 words detailing the year through the stories of the people featured.

The book's foreword is written by photographer Martin Salter - https://martinsalterphoto.com/.</text>

<text>Sisters of the Road documents the remarkable lives of forty female American truckers.

In this collection of experiences, personal stories told in the subjects’ own words are set alongside arresting portraiture and images of the vast and ever-changing landscape they traverse.

Michel’s portraits slot her subjects into the unsung history of female migration across the States. From the Pioneer women of the mid-nineteenth century, crossing the country in search of a better future, to Michel’s own individual subjects, Sisters of the Road highlights the female American traveller as both a historical and continued presence.

Each of Michel’s subjects has her own story, her own reason to keep moving. But together, they tell a story of sisterhood. Sisters of the Road tells a story of resilience, of the bravery in starting over, but overall, it tells a story of freedom.</text>

Each of the nine tipped-in glossy photographs is accompanied by detailed technical descriptions of each veil and by one word taken from this sentence: '... that this woman may be loving and amiable, faithful and obedient to her husband; and in all quietness, sobriety, and peace, be a follower of holy and godly matrons' (from The Form of Solemnization of Matrimony in The Book of Common Prayer). This is the form of wedding service used when Cally was a bridesmaid at the weddings of her older cousin and sister-in-law. The book was produced as part of the AMBruno 'Cover' collection.</text>

                <text>‘Omo’ means child in Yorùbá.
In 2019, Rubee Samuel self-funded a trip to Lagos to teach photography at two primary schools.
During her workshops she introduced the children to the work of established West African photographers and to the ideas behind fashion stories: styling and storytelling through photography.

With props, clothes and simple film cameras, she enabled the children to enter the fantasy world of dressing up within the grown-up conceptual world of an editorial fashion story.

Omo Nigeria is Rubee Samuel’s first book and depicts the results of her teachings: the fashion stories, concepted, styled and shot by the children themselves as well as her portrait sessions with the children.

“I believe that early exposure to the arts is vital to building the next new generation of creatives and image-makers.”

<text>“Walking the dog. A tribute to Keith Arnatt" it’s a project that pays tribute to the British artist on the occasion of the 40 years of his photographic series "Walking the Dog" (1979).
I tried to make a version of his work with the same characteristics as he did: 50 black and white analog square photos; with subjects -humans and dogs- looking at the camera; without any other living thing that could distract; shot it in the photographer’s town and with citizens as protagonists, in this case at La Roca del Vallès (Catalonia).
I do not intend to prove that ‘dogs look like their masters’ -or vice versa. Instead, I have been interested in finding attitudes that can conveying one to another, looking for the difference in similarity and trying to imagining stories and situations.
Keith Arnatt was inspired by August Sander’s portraits of men walking dogs (c.1914). I did not want to interpret or adapt Arnatt either, but I wanted to perpetuate his idea as purely as possible. This is a work that captures a longlasting concept. As Richard Dawkins named in "The Selfish Gene", a 'meme' is a cultural transmission unit that behaves with biological criteria. Then ‘taking photos of walking the dog' is a meme that survives, spreads and reproduces itself jumping from one brain to another over time.

<text>'Platform 1' is a collaborative project by photographers Saffron Liberty & Naomi Davison.

"We began this project during the UK’s final national lockdown, inspired by our newly heightened sense of curiosity in the people that surround us; born from months of isolation and social distancing. It had highlighted to us just how easy it is to paint an idea of a person, from the smallest of details they portray.

We realised this concept felt much like being at a train station. Where you nosily observe the people that pass you by, your watchfulness serving as procrastination whilst you wait for your train to pull in.

This is when we began to create a series of our own fictional hyper-real characters, all waiting for a train. Using ourselves as models, we took on their personas one by one with the aid of costume, prop and make-up.

The characters are full of clues suggestive of who they are, whilst also retaining a sense of ambiguity, forcing the viewer to make their own assumptions. In the same way we all do, even subconsciously, when observing a stranger for a fleeting moment."</text>
