Description

India, the seventh largest country on the planet, is called to be in the coming years the most populous territory in the world. This uncontrolled growth, together with pollution, is causing the Indian population to have more and more difficulties in accessing drinking water. In my project “paani water” (“paani”, it means water in Hindi), I discuss the relationship of Indian men and women with water, how it is present in the day-to-day life of their cities and rural populations, in their customs and rituals, in their basic needs, in their leisure time, or also as a way of transport.
