La Romería
Dublin Core
Title
La Romería
Description
La Romería is a documentary project of one of the Canary Islands’ most popular celebrations, where people parade in traditional costumes to the rhythm of music while singing, dancing, and sharing food. It is a celebration of heritage and appreciation of Canarian roots.
Shot on film, the zine tells the story of the day in chronological order, transmitting the atmosphere and collective spirit of the event. It is both a work of cultural dissemination, presenting the Canary Islands as a place of rich traditions, and a personal exploration of identity and nostalgia by the author.
