I had a desire to follow in those footsteps despite feeling queasy at the sight of blood. I wanted not only to be able to make powerful, hard-hitting images but I wanted to be able to write so beautifully just as Nachtwey does. His words flowing together so eloquently, so carefully considered much like his photography. But unlike the truth in his words "the events recorded should never be repeated" here lies a small, fun, 42 pages of sun where the events in this book should never be forgotten, and absolutely should be repeated.
