              <text>In 2019, the UK skateboarding community felt an incredible sense of loss and pain through the deaths of Ben Raemers, Johnathan Jesutofunmi Adebanjo &amp; Wilson Alexandre Garcia Varela. This sparked huge conversation &amp; led to communities uplifting &amp; supporting one another memorial events and beyond.&#13;

These events were held in the wake of those passed &amp; are captured within this zine. The photographs also encompass how this narrative has affected me since then. After further traumatic experiences of my own, skateboarding and photography have once again become significant motifs in my life. Because of this, the series takes on a diaristic and autobiographical nature.</text>
