Alex Schneideman, curator & photographer, initiated a unique project, a homage to Paddy Summerfield's seminal essay Mother And Father (Dewi Lewis Publishing 2014 and 2022). He invited 6 other photographers to make their own essays, in Summerfield's Oxford garden, the site of his work. So, Sian Davey, Matt Finn, Nik Roche, Jem Southam, Alys Tomlinson, Vanessa Winship - and Alex the progenitor - all visited (separately) and made their work.
Paddy, with his wife Patricia, photographed these photographers - and created this little book to honour the warmth and friendship that the project generated.
